Uganda is best known for its gorillas and so far in Africa it is by far the richest in bird species with a record of 1005 been identified, ranging from the highland bird specialities which include the African green broad bill in Bwindi to the lowland and water birds which include the African Fin Foot at Lake Mburo.
Mountain Gorillas are certainly endangered species and today they are an estimated 650 Mountain Gorillas left and half of which are located in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda.
